More about Amy:

A middle-aged woman with short gray hair and earrings, smiling while sitting in front of a plain white wall. She is wearing a white collared shirt underneath a gray sweater, with glasses hanging from her neck, and has a watch on her left wrist. Her right arm is resting on her lap, and she appears to be looking slightly to her left.

Amy Smith, MS is the founder of AIME and a seasoned behavioral health professional working at every intersection of the behavioral health system giving her a rare, comprehensive understanding of how care decisions are made and where families most often need support.

Amy’s background includes senior leadership roles with nationally recognized behavioral health organizations.  She has guided families and professionals through complex admissions, treatment planning and transitions of care while maintaining close collaboration with physicians, clinical teams, families and their representatives.  Known for her ability to build trust quickly and communicate clearly in high-stakes situations, Amy has consistently been recognized for performance, integrity,  and client advocacy.

AIME was founded out of Amy’s desire to shift the experience for families – from one that often feels transactional and overwhelming to one that is thoughtful, coordinated and human-centered.  Drawing on years of frontline experience and industry leadership, Amy brings an independent, informed perspective to every family she serves.  Her work is grounded in compassion, discretion, and a commitment to helping families find clarity, alignment and continuity in moments that matter most.

Our Story

Our story has been shaped by years inside the behavioral health system spent listening, learning, and witnessing firsthand where families need more clarity and care. With every step, we built this work with intention: to slow down complex decisions, to prioritize people over process, and to create space for thoughtful, lasting solutions that truly support families over time.
